Alex Park Music Studio provides high quality music education.

Alex Park studio has two teachers, Alex and Olivia. They both grew up with music and they met through music! They are passionate about the effectiveness of learning music for young students. Learning music teaches you to have patience and confidence which are lifelong benefits for all.

We are also here to help students to prepare for competitions, certificate of merit (CM), auditions, and college admissions. We would love to share our experience of living as  musician!

Alex Park

Classical Guitarist, educator

         Alex Park has been an active educator since he was 17 years old teaching guitar and piano lessons. Since then he has taught over 50 students teaching various styles such as classical guitar, electric, acoustic, piano, mandolin, ukulele, music theory, composition, and song writing to students of all ages and levels. In addition to teaching privately, Alex is currently on faculty at Pepperdine University which is ranked #1 in “The Ten Very Best Colleges for Classical Guitar Performance” by Music School Central. He was also formerly in faculty at Westmont College.

Olivia Koo

Violinist, educator

Olivia Koo is a violinist active in teaching and performing. She provides her students with a comprehensive music education. Students are drawn to her vibrant violin performances, engaging personality, and professionalism.

Her performance experience brought her to play in Walt Disney Concert Hall, Cerritos Performing Arts Center, Chapman Hall, and Meng Concert Hall. Besides performing traditional orchestral repertoire, she also has played new music by 20th Century composers and has even composed her own music which has been premiered in Meng Concert Hall. 

With numerous years of teaching experience, Olivia makes learning music fun and motivating and teaches each student with different approaches based on their needs. She feels that "first and foremost, music is meant to express oneself. My goal for each student is to have a sense of ownership and love for the music they play." 

Olivia has studied with Elizabeth Hedman and is currently studying with Ji Young An who is the violin professor at UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University, Fullerton studying violin performance and composition earning “magna cum laude.”

We offer classical guitar, acoustic and electric guitar, piano, violin, ukulele, mandolin, banjo, music theory, composition and songwriting.
